BLACK SÃO PAULO: GERALDO FILME AND THE GEOGRAFY OF THE SAMBA PAULISTA
Main Article Content
Abstract
Geraldo Filme was the musician who rejected the label that in the city of São Paulo there was no samba except for Adoniram Barbosa. With Geraldo should have a rearrange of the historiographical narratives that dealt with the musical history in Southeast. What's in Rio de Janeiro we already know; what we need is to observe that the samba map is dilated, fluid and multidirectional. This article highlights the universe of the musician Geraldo Filme around the neighborhoods that established relationships and helped to consolidate cartographies and memories of a type of samba with traces of the African Diaspora in São Paulo.
