PSYCHOLOGY CURRICULUM FROM TIA CIATA TO ANGELA DAVIS AND CARLA AKOTIRENE: PITFALLS OF ACADEMIC WHITENESS TRAMPAS DE LA BLANCURA ACADÉMICA
Main Article Content
Abstract
The advances in the psychological field in ethnic racial relations are brought from the black feminism of thinkers such as Angela Davis and Carla Akotirene. It goes through reflections on curriculum and training of psychologists in Brazilian universities. In this imbrication, the question is asked: What are the intentions of academic whiteness when it superficially refers to concepts of black thinkers? The results converge to the reproduction of the same epistemic violence that colonialist invaders have always organized against the Brazilian population and notably, once again and incisively, against the bodies and epistemes of black women.
