Abstract

From the readings proposed in the subject Special Topics in Anthropology of Complex Societies, this study seeks to draw attention to a counter-colonial proposal in the academic context and in the community, especially in the production of the science of Psychology. It presents the historical process of racism and the impacts generated in


the life of the Brazilian black population. It presents a critical analysis of Psychology as a potential in the anti-racist struggle. Finally, it outlines considerations on the promotion of ethnic-racial content in undergraduate and graduate programs.
