Abstract
The imbrications of race relations in Brazilian society act silently on the mental health of thousands of black people. The methodology adopted for the construction of the present work was the descriptive bibliographical research and qualitative nature. The text brings the themes of racism, depression, and interrelationship with psychosocial support. The study seeks to contribute and expand the discussion of a silent and serious problem today: the importance of psychology as a support for black people who suffer from depression, to strengthen them, raise their self-esteem and promote a sense of self-care in them.
