THE AFFIRMATIVE ACTIONS STUDY GROUP (GEAA): A COLLECTIVE CONSTRUCTION OF BLACK STUDENTS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article seeks to present the meanings that black and non-black students attribute to the Affirmative Action’s Study Group (GEAA). The GEAA is one of the actions carried out by the Affirmative Action’s Program at UFMG. In this way, through the historical narratives of its members, we seek to understand the importance of this type of academic settlement. The dialogues carried out reveal that GEAA points towards the futurity of anti-racist struggles, as the subjects with whom we dialogue carry out their ethical and political commitment in the face of socio-racial inequalities in different training spaces.
