Abstract

This work is based on experiences acquired in fieldwork carried out in 2021 and 2022 at Terreiro de Dona Maria Natalina Santos Costa (1943-), in the Marambaia neighborhood in Belém do Pará.  Theoretically constructed through approximations between the concepts of Terreiro and Museum, together with the narrative of an Afro-Amazonian female discourse, chosen as a form of representation of identity and memory, basing the arguments presented.  The objective of this work is configured in the link between theoretical reflections of Museology and the perceptive description, during the research process, in a constructive act of the autobiographical memories of the first author, as a black and Amazonian woman.  In this sense, a path of patrimonial and fratrimonial self-recognition is traced in this place, uniting the representation of the feminine with ancestry.  In this universe, the work dialogues with aspects of racism, reparation and futurity, recognizing the Terreiro de Dona Maria Natalina as a “Living Museum”, transforming and restoring identities.
