Abstract

Considering necessary the studies of reviewing literary criticism for rescue, presentation, study and analysis of literature production by women, we propose to analyze linearly the work from the contemporary writer Natércia Campos from Ceará. Our main by analyzing this literary work is to reflect about the construction of a new literary area emerging from the contemporarily age which the author calls “sertão-de-dentro”. This sertão emerges as the result of social transformations that have occurred in the last decades, presenting modernizations and industrializations that propose a certain telluric revival absent in the Brazilian literary prose tradition, since the sertanejo space has almost always been represented in historiography under the aegis of some specific projects, whether in the construction of a national identity, in Romanticism, or as a denunciation of governmental inoperativeness, in Modernism. Gutiérrez and Moraes (2007), Zolin (2003) and Lobo (1999) are some of our readings to guide this study.
