Abstract

This article was developed from the studies that compose the master's thesis "The actress of the diaspora: a study on the poetic-politics of Zélia Amador de Deus" and builds her narrative to value the trajectory of this woman in the history of theater and black militancy from Pará. It features excerpts from the exclusive interview given for research and journalistic documents on the subject. The methodology that guides the analysis is made in the light of feminism as a critical and theoretical perspective and to combat epistemicide. By tracing the artistic trajectory of Zélia Amador de Deus, I find the origins of her way of thinking about the construction of the body of the negro of the diaspora and her descendants by the performative bias, also present in her political-socio-cultural practices.
