Main Article Content
Abstract
This article presents some reflections on the racist and anti-racist media discourse and identifies ways to raise awareness, as well as struggles in favor of reduction of racism in society and, in particular, in the school environment. Its general purpose is to verify which behaviors society and schools should develop to combat segregation. A bibliographical review was carried out by using books and scientific articles published in academic journals which address the theme media, racism and anti-racism: discursive analysis. It could be seen there are numerous forms of racism, many of them are veiled. Several ways of the negroes’ struggling were identified, as well as their achievements. Although there is a lot to celebrate, there is still a long way to go, as each day the certainty that we cannot accept racist and prejudiced behaviors and attitudes arouses.
