Abstract
Em 2008, em meio a polêmicas e certa desconfiança, a Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS) aprovava a versão inicial da sua política de ações afirmativas. Naquele momento, poucos imaginariam que, mais de uma década depois, a mesma instituição viveria outra experiência singular, mas que estava certamente relacionada ao primeiro movimento: a UFS elegia e via tomar posse o seu primeiro reitor negro. Neste pequeno texto, apresento o relato da minha experiência nos primeiros 100 dias como reitor da única universidade pública de Sergipe.
