A X-RAY OF HIP-HOP MOVEMENT
Main Article Content
Abstract
The rap and funk consolidated a new black aesthetic in the outskirts of large cities. Since 70’s funk is being incorporated by poor black youth. About rap, we can situate the 80’s as a time of formation of a new musical form practiced by youth with the same characteristics of the funk. In constant dialogue with the US versions, through the festive way of the Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo funk, or through activist and militant rap, these two musicality began to become established as a symbol of poor and peripheral black cultural resistance.
