Abstract
Rachel Harding narrates her academic trajectory and her research experiences in Brazil in the late 90s and early 20th century. It highlights his view on the experiences of the black religion during slavery and the possibilities of thinking diaspora. She analyzes the impressions of a new generation of black scholars in Brazil.
