Abstract
Lucia Helena Oliveira Silva remembers her academic trajectory in undergraduate and graduate courses at Unicamp. She tells about her memories that she heard from her grandparents who participated in the Black Front. It highlights the academic atmosphere of debates in Brazilian historiography at the dawn of the 20th century and the impact of the production of black intellectuals.
