Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: Identify in the current Brazilian literature types of prejudice against women. Methods: It is about an integrative review of the national literature about prejudice publications against women, from 2008 to 2012. Results: We found eight articles on the topic and established four categories for discussion, namely: Prejudice against race/ethnicity, Prejudice against female homosexuality, Gender prejudice and Prejudice against health conditions/disease. Conclusions: in general, the articles discuss the prejudice against women. Unfair, impolite and humiliating treatment points to racial prejudice and certain diseases, and unpreparedness of health professionals in the care for homosexuals, factors that lead these women's groups to don’t access or remain in the health services.
