Interviews with 15 black women historians: Ana Flávia Magalhães, Giovana Xavier, Iamara Viana, Isabel Reis, Lucia Helena Oliveira, Luciana Brito, Lucilene Reginaldo, Kim Butlet, Maria Claudia Cardoso, Nilma Accioli, Rachel Harding, Solange Rocha, Valéria Costa , Vanicleia Santos and Wlamyra Albuquerque. They analyze their family origins, academic contexts and intellectual influences.
