QUILOMBOLA CHILDREN AND WORK, REFLECTIONS FROM THE EXPERIENCES IN QUILOMBO MATO DO TIÇÃO - MG
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article presents some reflections on child labor based on the experiences of children in Quilombo Mato do Tição - MG. It discusses how work differs in children's lives over time, taking as a reference the testimonies of adult and elderly women in the community. These testimonies are compared to the experiences of children today in which work is a form of insertion in family and community life, distancing themselves from the exhausting and sometimes degrading work that other generations of Quilombo had to undergo in order to maintain survival.
